Commitment to world-class teaching San Michael College has higher class contact hours than most comparable Colleges, with a commitment to first-rate teaching. We believe in the importance of a 'direct learning experience', and this stance ensures that our research activities are not carried out at the cost of class teaching. This is particularly important at postgraduate level, where we ensure that students receive a minimum of two taught semesters before embarking on their personal research project.

Pastoral careWe care about each of our students, and the convenient size of our College, at approximately 450 students, ensures that each student will benefit from individual attention during their time with us. This attention includes personal tutoring, welfare and careers counselling, and a newly appointed faith counselling scheme. Further, our teaching staff operate an open-door policy and are available to help with any academic problems.

Customised course materials San Michael College has a strong relationship with the publishing houses, which supplies colleges and universities in the UK and worldwide with excellent topical legal materials. All law students receive key course materials, many written and specifically tailored to their individual courses by our experienced lecturers.

Life-long learningAt San Michael College we take care of our students' educational needs from foundation to postgraduate level, with guaranteed places available to students who pass each stage of their educational career. We encourage students to continue their education, and teach with cutting-edge methodologies to further this end. We have excellent links with course such as ACCA, CIMA and CIM after graduating with us. Once students have graduated from our College, we keep in touch with them through our alumni network programme, in order to inform them of the latest employment news and to encourage networking between individuals.
