Teaching
Teaching at San Michael College may differ from the teaching in your home country, with lectures, seminars and workshops. This variety of teaching encourages students to actively participate through supervised discussion, debates and presentations. All classes are led by a professional academic.

Private Study
British education places a high emphasis on self-teaching, and students are required to supplement formal teaching with independent study. This can involve researching a topic, usually based around a lecture or seminar; making a presentation; or producing written work or coursework.
Assessment
A variety of assessment methods are used, including examinations, coursework, presentations or dissertations. Group work may also be assessed.
Plagiarism
This is where a student copies work from another student, or from a book without referencing the source properly. This is a serious offence, with severe penalties. You will be given information on plagiarism when you begin your studies, and can speak to your personal tutor at any time.
