Exemptions: Holders of ABE Diploma part 1 in Business Administration will be able to claim exemption from introduction to Business and Introduction to Business Communication in the HRM Practitioner Certificate. ICM - Institute of Commercial Management - Diploma in Legal Studies [more...]This programme has been developed for those who have an interest in Legal studies and wish to develop their general knowledge of the basic concepts of non-criminal law. The programme is particularly suitable for those whose commercial activities involve them in aspects of law and legislation and also serves as a basis for further professional legal study.
Examination are held in June and December each year. All Examination timetables show a closing date for receipt, by the institute of examination entries. Your completed examination must reach the institute before the stated closing date which is normally six weeks before the month of the examinations. If you are a middle manager with a little or no formal training, or returning from a career break, you can benefit from this programme which provides an ideal start to your ongoing future development.

ILEX level 6 is equivalent to LLB

Candidates for the ILEX  6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law. To complete the ILEX level 6 (PHDL) candidates must pass a pair of compulsory linked law and practice  papers from table A and practice papers from table A AND two other law papers of their choice from Table B The three law papers and one practice which must be passed should be chosen to reflect a candidate’s work specialism

COUNCIL for LICENSED CONVEYANCERS: [more.......] What is Conveyancing?
Transferring the ownership of a house, flat or piece of land from one person to  another is known as conveyancing, legally anyone can do it for themselves, if they have time, knowledge and confidence. However, most people prefer to employ a professional.

Who are Licensed Conveyancers?  A Licensed conveyancer is a specialist property lawyer, someone who is trained and qualified in all aspects of the law dealing with property. For example problems can arise with rights of way, legal ownership and planning matters, all of which require expert attention.

Requirement: To achieve the long term aim of owning your own business as a Licensed Conveyancer, you will need a all round education with at least four GCSEs (or GCE “O” LEVEL, CSE equivalents) including English “A” level law would be useful, but not essential. Applicants with a Law degree or LPC will be exempt from the equivalent examinations. You are required to apply to the Council for registration as a student. If you for not have all entry requirements but are keen to progress and  consider your potential can be realised, please do apply to the Council for special consideration.

BTEC Higher Nationals BUSINESS: [More........]This is designed to provide a specialist vocational programme, linked to Professional body requirements and National Standards where appropriate, with a strong work related emphasis. The qualification provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in their sector and their national recognition by employers allows progression direct into employment. This offer a strong emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding in their sector.
The BTEC Higher Nationals in Business have been developed to focus on:

· providing education and training for a range of careers in business such as administration, personnel, marketing, finance, law, purchasing and management
• providing a general qualification which allows flexibility of study to meet local or specialist needs

• providing specialist options which meet the needs of the major functions in business and allow specialisation with career progression and professional recognition in mind

• providing opportunities which underpin some of the knowledge and understanding required for the relevant NVQ level 4 units in Accounting, Management, Personnel, Administration and Procurement

What are the entry requirements?
You will normally need to have at least one of the following:
a BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in an appropriate area
an AVCE/GNVQ in an appropriate vocational area
a GCE A Level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or an adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at level A-C other related Level 3 qualifications
an Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution related work experience.

More mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience (paid and/or unpaid) and/or achievement of a range of professional qualifications in their work sector. What is the course structure?
The course is made up of ten units – five core units, which everyone takes, and five specialist units.  At least 50% of this qualification must be made up of H2 units.  The specialist units enable you to study particular areas in depth, and there is opportunity to follow a clear specialist pathway.  These specialist pathways are recognised in the following endorsed qualification titles:
