ACCA - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants [more.....] Accounting is concerned with collecting, analysing, summarising and presenting financial data in order to comply with company legislation and assist decision making by management. ACCA is one of the world’s leading accountancy qualifications awarding body. Its members are internationally recognised in public practice, commerce, industries and in the public sector and you can grow to qualify as a registered auditor. There are many routes to becoming a qualified accountant with ACCA: Mature student at or above 21 years and you are expected to qualify within ten years. GCSE’s at grade A-C, A levels.
Exemptions: Relevant graduates may be awarded some exemptions for papers in part one and two only. Dates by 31 July for December exams and 31 January for June exams. Anyone who wants to take ACCA exams must register with ACCA as a student in mid August and December each year.

AAT - Association of Accounting Technicians [more.....] Accounting Technician is the corner stone of business. The biggest multinationals, the smallest local authority or enterprises and businesses of every size in between depend upon the talents of people trained in accountancy.Studying for AAT Accounting Qualification will give you the skills to work in many different kinds of companies and organisations and give you the choice of a wide variety of job opportunities.As a qualified accounting professional in a smaller business, you might be the only member of staff who is expert in finance. While in a larger company, you might be part of a wider financial team. Or you might opt to work for yourself after qualifying– providing accountancy services for small businesses and self employed.

Entry requirement: You do not need any formal qualifications to begin studying for the AAT Accounting qualification. If you do have GCSEs, A– levels a degree or some experience in accounting you may be able to start studying at a higher level.
There are two pathways; 1.NVQ AND Diploma pathways 2. Diploma pathway

Certificate:       
                             Introduction to Accounting for units 1,2 and 3 except computerised Accounting
                            Accounting work skills units 4,7,21,23 and Comp. Accounting
                             Financial Accounting
                             Recording and analysing costs and revenues

Advanced Certificate:

                                   Operating a cash management and credit control system
                                    Accounting work skills
                                    Professional ethics for accounting technician
                                    Drafting financial statement
                                    Management accounting
                                    Managing systems and people in the accounting environment

Diploma:                     
                                    Professional ethics for accounting technician

Plus two of the following:
                                    Implementing auditing procedures
                                    Preparing business taxation computations
                                    Preparing personal taxation computation

Accounting work skills and Professional ethics for accounting Technicians can be completed at either of two levels as shown above and must be once.

CAT - Certified Accounting Technicians [more.....] This course is structured and examined by ACCA. This course offers students opportunity to further their career to Chartered, MSc in Accounting etc. This therefore means that CAT is a stepping  stone for further studies  in the profession. CAT is  a course that enables you to develop your skills in
Accountancy for a brighter future.

CIMA  -  Chartered Institute of Management Accountants [more.....] Those who wish to develop a successful and diverse career in financial and business management the CIMA qualification is the ideal. This qualification is most respected and recognised worldwide, this offers you and opportunity to develop not only accountancy skills but also decision making management strategic and analytical skills with this skills you are bound to gain employment in the financial world, commerce, consultancy manufacturing etc.

Entry requirement—there are a number of routes to take into  obtaining this qualification , graduates over 18years of age good standard in mathematics and English , Ordinary and A levels.Exemptions Some qualifications may offer you exemptions and enable you to enter at advanced stage of the course/syllabus.
For exemption register by mid March for May and mid September foe November examination. To register as a student for the qualification you must submit your application by
31st January and 31st July.

CFA - Certified Financial Analyst [more.....]  The CFA curriculum is grounded in the practice of the investment profession. CFA Institute periodically conducts a job analysis involving CFA charter holders around the world to determine those elements of the body of investment knowledge and skills that are important to charter holders in their practice. The CBOK is organised into four major topic areas: ethical and professional standards, tools and inputs for investment valuation and management, asset valuation, and portfolio management and performance presentation

The level 1 study program emphasise tools and inputs and includes an introduction to asset
Valuation and portfolio management techniques.
The level 2 study program emphasise asset valuation and includes applications of the tools and inputs (including economics, financial statement analysis, and quantitative methods) and asset valuation.
The level 3 study program emphasises portfolio management and includes strategies for applying the tools, inputs and asset valuation models in managing equity, fixed income, and derivatives
Investments for individuals and institutions

Entry requirement: You must have a U.S. 1st Degree or equivalent degree or 4 years of qualified professional work experience. You must register as a student with CFA before applying for this course, complete our enrolment and pay our fees. CFA full time study qualifies you for student visa.
